Creative Show+Tell #2

Classic_Roam_Clock_Face_by_a_lemonheadLast night also saw after the ECCA lecture, the second installment of Creative Show+Tell. I think a change of location is in order as the BFI seems to be the worst place when you’re wanting to discuss creativity as it’s such a busy atmosphere in the evenings so this will be the case from next month. And with about 7 of us turning up this time, the seed is growing slowly. We had some chats about degree projects, deadlines and other bits and pieces. I won’t actually be here for the next two meetings because of Tokyo, but I will leave things in the capable hands of Amy and see you all again in August (Sayonara). The Facebook group can be found here.

Creative Show+Tell

Bit of a late post here, but I’ve just been super busy with another project right now. Wednesday evening saw the first Creative Show+Tell. After deciding with my Saint Martins fine artist friend Amy that we needed to start collaborating with fellow creatives lots more, we’ve decided to start up a monthly creative ideas session. Talking about ideas, projects, interesting exhibitions, books and magazines or perhaps a useful blog you have come across.

The idea is to get lots of creatives together for monthly brainstorming sessions and just to generally not keep things to yourselves, sharing ideas and who knows what may come from it all. Right now on my year out, I am collaborating lots more and it has been much more exciting working with others who have different skills and interests than working on my own.

Unfortunately, it didn’t go too well for the first week, with just a few people turning up, but we still went through some ideas and work. If you have creative ideas to share and are about for the next Show+Tell, come by to the BFI Southbank Cafe on May 13th at 7.30pm. You can join the Facebook group here.
